Inside World Music: “heady rhythm section with a dark groove”
Posted on October 8, 2013“This is a top recording for fans of Americana folk/rock or bands such as Evanescence, Cranberries, Nina Gordon, and Jace Everett.” ~ Matthew Forss, Inside World Music
Washington-based, Solveig & Stevie are Solveig Whittle and Stevie Adamek. Solveig is the lead vocalist and lyricist, while Stevie is a musician with producer credits. Zombie Lover is an album with seven songs that contain mostly Solveig’s vocals throughout. The music represents pop and rock concoctions that contain a good degree of electronic, folk, dance, and alternative elements. There are guitars, drums, electronic programming, bass, and flutes that fill in the melodies. “Zombie Lover” opens with a grungy bass intro and heady rhythm section with a dark groove and female vocals that are rather light, yet authoritative.

“From soft rock to 80s power pop to alternative to dubstep wobbles, the Zombie Lover EP packs plenty of aural stimulation for music lovers with eclectic palettes.” – Joshua Smotherman, Middle Tennessee Music
“You can’t love me if you’re dead….”
…so wake up and get with the sounds of Solveig & Stevie because their Zombie Lover EP is one unique folk-electro-pop-rockin’ piece of music!
Solveig Whittle is the lead vocalist, lyricist, and business side of this dynamic duo.
Ms. Whittle holds a degree in engineering, an MBA, and a K-8 teaching certificate. She also works as an independent marketing consultant for musicians and tech companies.
She began performing in college singing covers of James Taylor, John Prine, Bonnie Raitt and more classic class acts. Her songwriting and performing reflects her wide range of knowledge and experience.
Stevie Adamek is a studio musician and producer who was formerly signed by Scepter Records with the See Band; then with Columbia as a member of Bighorn.
Adamek has also composed and performed with The Allies… you remember that song Emma Peel that had one of the earliest videos on MTV after it launched? Yeah, those Allies.
It wasn’t until 2010 that these two creative talents joined forces to create 3 epic tracks that constitute their Zombie Lover EP. So how do they sound?
